mrsa infection were believed to be acquired from constant exposure to health care offices but later on it was discovered that these infections can also occur among communities like students, athletes and the military even though the person had not been to any health care office for a long time. In case of mrsa infection that occur due to exposure to one’s own community rather than in a health care office is referred as community acquired MRSA or CA-MRSA. This type of mrsa infection can spread through wound in the skin like cuts or scrapes, in crowded living conditions where MRSA affected people are present and proper hygiene is not there and through close skin to skin contact with affected persons. All persons in a community can get affected but the vulnerable section are children at school as they have less immune power and in communities like military, day care centers, prisons, correctional facilities and households. In case of sports that involve contact of the participants like football, rugby and wrestling the chance of spread of the MRSA is high. Persons affected with MRSA can notice a lump formation in the skin which is generally swollen and painful and it might develop pus in the middle and can even result in fever or warmth in the area that is infected. The doctors generally confirm the infection by doing a skin culture test in case skin infection is visible.
